I get really bad migraines, but I hate taking medicines. I do everything I can, naturally, to manage my migraines. I woke up with a migraine yesterday morning. Sometimes, if I catch them early enough, coffee can provide relief, but coffee didn’t help this time. My migraine was ramping up.
I was able to walk-in and get a 90 minute deep tissue massage from Amy. I walked out with NO migraine and it stayed away all day. I’m still migraine free this morning!! I was praying the whole time that the massage would provide some relief. I was beyond grateful to be able to open my eyes wide and smile again after I left the massage room. By the way the massage room was clean and had very calming meditation music playing.
I read a couple reviews that said Amy didn’t use enough pressure, but I didn’t find that to be true in my experience at all… she got all my knots out and used good pressure the whole time. She also checked with me periodically to make sure the pressure wasn’t too much.
The only reason I can think of, for why some reviews said her pressure wasn’t strong enough, is because customers don’t understand the difference between Swedish (a soft touch massage) and Deep Tissue Massage (much more pressure). There are two different price points for these types of massages for a reason. One is more labor intensive for the therapist.
Also, I think it’s wise to tell the person scheduling your massage (or the therapist) what you’re looking for (i.e.: the kind of pressure you want, kneading, “no chopping”, etc). Therapists are usually very accommodating, but they are not mind readers.
I should note that there was a language barrier when I first walked in and tried to explain I had a migraine and needed strong pressure (the person at the front desk spoke Chinese and limited English). Not a problem! I whipped out my Google Translator app on my smartphone (yay for technology!) and typed it in English. He read the translation in Chinese and completely understood everything I wrote and was very accommodating. He was also very appreciative – a little human kindness goes a long way.

I came back to this place, because of the excellent experiences that I have had in the past. Today, my therapist was Kevin?… Not sure of his name. More power than finesse, but definitely a good massage. Completely different style than Amy, but good nonetheless. Worked out all the kinks in my lower back today.

Ok…so im conflicted with this place. The massage was amazing!!! Truly amazing. I got the foot reflexology massage that also includes an arm, hand massage and ends with a 10 min body massage. I have it 3 stars because of the following: They charged $35 which is a great price. HOWEVER….when it’s time to pay for your massage there is chart that shows a suggested tip, where $10-15 is a acceptable tip and it goes up from there. So, when I gave a $10 tip on a $35 massage (which is almost 30%), i received a snarky look from the woman at the cash register (who appears to be the owner). I don’t like to feel pressured to give a tip in that setting. It was enough to make me not want to go back.

Very clean and affordable. I’m always able to make an appointment the day of so fitting into my schedule is easy. I needed a deep tissue/ sports massage and Kevin did a great job. He was able to release the tension in my back and shoulders and rejuvenate the muscles.

Sat in the waiting room for 10 minutes after my appointment time. The waiting room was not easy on the eyes… fluorescent lights scattered throughout with “massage” signs flashing in the window. My masseuse Linda, I’m sorry to say this Linda, needs to take some classes. Her massage style was more, push fast and hard on the skin all over, vs. methodically working on each muscle. While massaging my forearm, she rubbed her fingers hard into the pressure points on the underside of my wrists. Not a great experience. I won’t be going back.

No fuss and very well priced. It was with great surprise that I had one of the best massages I’ve ever had here. I can’t remember the name of the woman who gave me my massage, but she did a great job working out the terrible knots I had in my shoulders due to stress. I also appreciated that she didn’t do too “hard” of a massage. There have been places I’ve gone to in the past where “medium” was super hard and left tenderness and bruising. Planning on returning here at least once a month.

Great spot for an amazing massage! Do not hesitate for a single moment! I left feeling energized and refreshed! Place is tucked away near Safeway. Services are professional, clean and the price is right!
