I have been going to Elim spa every other week with my bf and we love our massages here! Definitely no frill, so don’t expect a fancy spa ambiance but for the price, it’s great value and gets the job done.
The Korean therapists here are experts at what they do. My bf says the full body massage he gets is top notch and after his first massage at Elim, he said farewell to the massage therapist he had been seeing for years in Manhattan at a much higher price (like twice as much). He said the massage he gets here is just as good and the price allows him to receive it more frequently.
I get a Korean style face massage/facial by Linda. While this is not a high end spa facial with high tech equipment and fancy products (I go to another Korean skin care specialist for that, also in Palisades Park), it works wonderfully as a maintenance visit. Usually the process goes like this: cleansing-mild exfoliation-elaborate face and decollete massage focusing on lymphatic drainage-modeling mask-finishing touches with toner and cream. No steam machine but she uses hot towels frequently in between. Before the modeling mask goes on the face, she applies serum and cream so that the mask helps its absorption and while the face mask is hardening, she massages my arms. So in terms of the process, very similar to other skin care spas, except lack of equipment such as steam machine, high frequency machine, aqua peel machine, etc. and products are more modest (I spotted NuSkin and Dr.Grandel products, which are still fine!) The space is super straightforward. It’s in a “garden level”, the bed and sheet to cover yourself are not of the highest quality.
Despite all the points mentioned above, I happily give them 5 stars because of the following:
-cleanliness and how seriously they are handling the current Covid-19 situation. There are new disposable face masks provided for customers in case they forget, hand sanitizers, they take your temperature each time and info for contact tracing. Every staff is wearing masks. Everytime I walk in, the room is well organized with clean sheets.
-cost to value ratio can’t be beat. The price gets even better if you purchase the 6 treatments package (which we did and probably will continue to do so). We make sure we tip at least 20% each time, even then the total expense is more than reasonable (never over $60 (with tip included) for one hour treatment.)
-little touches that make up for lack of ambience such as snacks provided in reception area (granola bars, candies, fresh filtered water), cute little cacti and succulent garden near the entrance, friendly service. Not pushy or salesy at all. I appreciate being left alone during the treatment compared to some other places that constantly talk your ears off or try to push for bigger tips or add ons, etc. Always so appreciative of your business.

My go to place to take care any stiffness, sore muscles, or if just any need of that buzz of relax feeling after a great massage. Clean and neat rooms, soothing music and very professional therapists.

Relaxing and peaceful.
90 minute deep tissue body massage was great but it really depends on whom you are getting massage from. Each masseuse has different style and techniques.
I bought 10 of 90 min body massage for my wife and myself.

I went for a facial with a groupon, and it was one of the best facials I have ever had. I go for a facial every other month and I have tried a few different places in the surrounding area. The service was phenomenal and the price was even better. The aesthetician really knows what she’s doing and I came out glowing. She is only at the spa Mon-Wed so make sure to go.

This place is a hidden treasure! You must go here and ask for Alisa the facial specialist!!
She knows what she is doing!! My face feels fantastic!!
She treats you like a queen the moment you step in the spa!
And my face has never felt better!!

I went for an hour of facial. The estheticianas name is Alisa and I received a whole hour of pampering. From exfoliation, extraction, facial and neck massage with essential aroma oil to modeling mask. Also while waiting for the modeling mask to set, Alisa does the scalp, arm, and leg massage. The room is quite, cozy and with soothing music playing in the background. The whole experience is 100% worthwhile and I would definitely recommend my friends to go.

Although I have 2 other spots I prefer for 1 hr massages, this is my go-to spot for 90 minute massages.
Out of the many massage places I frequent, I come here expecting more of a therapeutic massage rather than tension-releasing/relaxation.
The location looks shady and small, but is very clean and quiet, which I enjoy.
Pros: professional and NO “shady extra service”, they concentrate on your neck, lower back, and shoulders, their bargain price of $50/90minutes.
Cons: they don’t play background music, they don’t use oil (unless you ask) or offer hot stones, and they do not let you take off your boxers (personal preference).
I’ve been here 4 times already, and I would say that they are very consistent with their service (unlike most places that change their staff frequently)

I was a little apprehensive about this place, even more so when we arrived.
The place is located in what seems to be a basement of an apartment building.
This place is a no frills type set up, so do not expect a ‘spa like’ experience.
The floors look like what you would expect in a old basement, peeling, and a ‘mustyness’ –
I should have recommended they invest in a de-humidifier.
The rooms are very basic, but appeared clean.
The massage was done with a sheet over the body, this is not my preference.
Therefore, you do not get any oil or lotion .. I did see it there, but maybe only with special request or if you pay more? I’ll have to ask next time.
Lastly, the massage therapist left the room 2x for no reason within the first 10 min. of the massage – so all of this was a bit aggravating .. UNTIL –
the real massage started.
I had a lot of knots from sitting long hours in the car.
And she worked them out very effectively. Her technique was different from any I’ve had before, she said it was a Korean massage.
Definitely well trained!
If you can get past what I mentioned above, you’ll have a good experience, w/ a “real” massage, not those ‘fluff’ massages or massage therapists that have no experience!
Definitely recommend!

purchased a facial skin care treatment from lisa?? via groupon (39 bucks!). all I can say is WOW! exfoliation, blackhead removal, massage from head to shoulder, facial wrap, etc. LICENSED (which is important to me). better value and equally as good if not better than any “fancy clinical skin care” I tried. my gf actually think I look younger! ha! only downside, it might actually be addictive.

I went this place last saturday. This place was very cute, clean, and quiet. The staff seemd so nice and kind. The massage was amazing. I got body massage by Michael. It was so relaxing. He used hot stones which were so great. He was very professional. I love it.
The massage is so cheap that only $35 and i will go back there again.
