Love this place! My sister who lived out of state gifted me a Swedish massage here and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I never would have known about this place if it were not for her. I enjoyed it so much that I returned the favor and brought her and our mom with us for a special girls only massage. It was a hit! And before the pandemic started, I also gifted my brother and sister in law 2 separate packages, a Swedish massage for him and a prenatal massage for my sis in law before their little one arrived. Solid massages and prices are reasonable. I think their services match Burke Williams, imo, although BM has the pool in SF. I can’t wait to go back!

I have to say I am blown away by this spa experience, I felt that in the midst of covid, this was a great experience. Everyone took extra care. I had a Swedish massage with Adam and the signature facial with Emily. Hands down the best facial where it was a great balance of cleansing, massage and hydration and my skin is glowing, thank you Emily! Massage was great too just the relaxation I needed. Already planning my next spa day!

The ambiance of this spa was amazing! Service is also pretty top notch. After you’re greeted you’ll be taken to the changing room where you get your locker, a plush robe, and slippers. There are also showers but no sauna or steam room. Then you wait in the quiet room until they come get you for your appointment. The quiet room is really nice and cozy, lots of plush blankets and water, tea, and healthy small snacks.
My husband got me a classic spa day: massage, facial and pedicure. And he was there himself for a 80 min massage. Both of us feel that the massage was ok but for the price we are paying we can’t say it was really worth it. The staff is really nice but the massages didn’t quite leave us completely relaxed, not that it’s not comfortable. We’ve just had much more memorable massages at a much lower price.
My facial was really great – I wanted more even complexion and she made my face feels super clean and exactly how you’d wanna feel after a facial. Pedicure was also really nice. I might be sensitive to the oil they put on at the end because my feet ended up itchy for a day and a half afterwards. Besides that, I really enjoyed it and my feet feel sooooo soft.

Love this place! My husband and I get the couples massages every so often. I’ve also done a few of their spa day escapes. The pedicures they give are no doubt the best.
The atmosphere is so peaceful. The waiting room is so cute and the snacks are yummy. Staff is very friendly and maintains the facility perfectly! I only wish they had a full women’s locker room including a steam room/sauna. They have very well kept common areas in the bathroom, 3 bathrooms, and 2 or 3 showers. But no steam room
They have lockers for your belongings. I had forgotten a very important diamond necklace in the locker. Almost immediately after I left, they called me and asked if I had left a necklace. I was SO grateful they found it and kept it safe for me until I could pick it up.
I love this place and plan to be back for many more visits

In mid October I treated my Grandmother and myself to a pedicure at The Woodhouse Spa.
The facility is very nice. We enjoyed the relaxation room whIle waiting for our service. The water and snacks were a nice touch to the beautiful decor. The technicians who worked on us were very friendly and we enjoyed chatting with them.
We would definitely return on our next mini spa day

This is my guilty pleasure. At first it’s a shock to a see the prices, but it’s no surprise with this establishment. They are very personable and the amenities force you to really relax. You change in plush luxurious robes and slippers. There are places out there where you get a massage or manicure and you rush in and you run before your manicure is even dries. LOL. But at Woodhouse, you want to come an hour early or stay an hour late, you won’t even notice the time because you just want to relax and forget about the outside world. It smells so nice and they have tea and light snacks available.
The manicure w seaweed wrap is amazing!

This place is an absolute gem! I can’t believe I just discovered them and that I’ve been missing out for so long! I haven’t had many massages and facials in the past(at most 3 times), and the last time I had a massage was 2 years ago. The Woodhouse Day Spa has definitely converted me into making this a regular thing…or at least more frequently! Let’s face it, my wallet will kill me if I decide to make this a habit! That is the only downside to this place. However, I would say overall it’s worth it because the whole experience from start to finish was amazing! I did the Woodhouse Hydrafacial and a 50 minute Swedish Massage. I left this place relaxed, rejuvenated, calm, refreshed, impressed, and completely satisfied with the results!
Right when you walk through the front door, you already feel like you’re about to embark on a relaxing journey. You can take the elevator or the stairs to the 2nd floor where the spa is. The ladies at the front desk were so welcoming and friendly! When you get to the 2nd floor, you’ll see the front desk and a spa store where they have lots of goodies for purchase. When I was taken back through a door to the spa area, I felt like I was transported to a different world. It was so lovely to just walk down the quiet dark hallway to the locker room. They’ll give you a robe, slippers, and a locker to keep your belongings. Once you change into your robe, you can relax in their waiting area. I feel like I should be calling it something else because “waiting room” makes it seem like a cold and boring area. However, just sitting in there is where the experience begins. It’s a calm and serene area where you can lounge in their chairs/couches. There’s also water, tea, and cookies if you so desire. It seems like the amount of time you’ll wait there just depends on how early you are to your appointment. They definitely keep to the schedule and make sure you’re seen right at your appointment time. I like that they respect your time and are very punctual. I recommend going 20-30 minutes before your appointment just so you can take your time changing and just unwind before your appointment starts.
For my Swedish massage I had Leslie D. She was absolutely lovely! I highly recommend her! She makes sure you’re comfortable and tailors the massage to you. She makes sure the pressure works for you and that the guest gets the exact experience they want out of the massage. For example, some people go for pain management and some for for relaxation. I will definitely go back to her. I almost fell asleep during the massage. That’s how relaxing it was! I couldn’t believe 50 minutes went by so quickly.
CONS: This has nothing to do with Leslie D. Two things I would change about the massage have to do with the fragrances and the customers in the hallways. Apparently when they do their Swedish massage, they just use unscented oils/lotions. You have to pay $15 extra as an add on for aromatherapy oils. I’ve seen other places where scented lotions or oils are included in the price of the Swedish massage. Even if they don’t give oils, a nice smelling lotion would definitely enhance the massage experience. The second thing I didn’t like was the loud conversations in the hallway. Remember when I said I almost fell asleep? It was the loud conversations in the hallway that pulled me out of dreamland. It was hard to enjoy the portion of my massage when those two people decided to speak in their regular volumes.
For my Woodhouse Hydrafacial, I had Gia! I can not say enough good things about her. She is PHENOMENAL!!! She is so experienced, knowledgeable, and passionate about her work! She explained every part of the facial and was able to answer any questions I had about my skin. She made lots of recommendations on what I could do to improve my skincare routine and walked me through all the technical parts of how our bodies and skin work. The Hydrafacial itself is just a vacation for your skin! I don’t think I have ever had such a dewy glow on my face! My skin looked 100 times better after the Hydrafacial. The results were immediate and extremely noticeable! I didn’t know my skin had the ability to look so good, haha. I also did the eye perk add on and it really did help the dark circles under my eyes! If you need a facial done, go to Gia. She is so thorough, friendly, helpful, and truly a miracle worker! Hopefully I can keep up this glow until I go back next time! It’s an 80 minute procedure, but it definitely didn’t feel like it. Time flew and it was a fun to get to chat with Gia. She answered all my questions too!
I have been raving to my friends about this place since I left! I am so glad there’s such a luxurious and relaxing place in the East Bay! I would actually be curious to try some of the full body treatments they have too! And that’s a big deal for me since it took me years to just try a massage….haha I’m very shy and awkward. Can’t wait to go back!!

Long overdue SPA DAY! I was gifted the *spa classics package* from my husband, which includes a swedish massage, organic discovery facial, and a pedicure. When calling to book the staff was super friendly and between booking and my actual appointment I received multiple reminders and instructions (masks required the entire time unless specified during a service, check in no more than 5 minutes before your appointment)
Upon arrival, there is an initial check in downstairs where they take your temperature. Then you head upstairs to check in for your services! Signs/stickers for “6 ft apart” everywhere on the floor.
After checking in I was escorted to a room for my first service, my massage. I was given a robe and sandals, and a tote bag which served as my “portable locker” for the day.
Swedish massage (with Mary Grace) – $130, 50 mins
– The room was very spacious and clean
– Masks worn by both parties
– Table had a heat pad
– Mary Grace had the perfect pressure, checked with me if things were alright.
– I had an issue with my boobs, it was painful to lay down directly on them so Mary Grace had to get creative with some towels to help get some lift off the table and make it more comfortable for me.
– For the month of Oct they offer a complimentary “addition” to your massage (which as an oil) and I chose a peppermint rose which helped with muscles.
*between services was taken to the lounge area. Just seating available, no water or other services. I was there by myself*
Pedicure (Warm Agave nectar pedicure) $80, 50 mins
– the spa chairs were AMAZING, prob the best chairs Ive sat in for any pedi
– normally i’d never get a pedi at a day spa…. so I think it was overpriced BUT it was nice as part of a package.
– The agave nectar felt (and smelled) SOOOO good
Organic Discovery Facial – $130, 50 mins
– My favorite service of the whole package
– Gia is THE BEST. She’s been doing this for a long time, knows her sh*t, tells you whats up without being to “Salesy”
– Did I mention Gia is the best? It’s like she’s got magic in those hands.
CONCLUSION: Pricey, but worth it. When you see the quality of service, and how well kept the place is, makes sense!! I will be back, and what a great gift for others!
