Thai Rose Massage Spa has never disappointed my husband and I. We have been coming here for close to 3 years- they are professional, clean, happy, comfortable, and listen to what your needs are. They are so sweet, and feel so welcome there every time.
We have been through dozens of massage places in OC and also around the world and they are absolutely amazing. You can ask for a light massage or extreme deep tissue massage, and they can do it all. Really just depends on your mood, and which area you would like to target.
Also, the cost of the message we feel is affordable compared to many places. This along with the amazing service keeps us going back for more. Highly recommended!

I recently got a massage here after my neck was so stiff from constant standing and head tilting from looking at a computer screen. I’m always reluctant to try new massage places because I’m fearful of getting hurt after a past experience elsewhere. I decided to try out Thai Rose Massage Spa after seeing positive reviews.
I had to push back my appointment a couple times because I was coming from a farther area, but each time, they were accommodating. The waiting room/entrance is relatively small with only a couple of seats so I do not recommend bringing a +1 to this massage spa if they are not receiving treatment.
My therapist was Christine. There’s a sign in the room that asks you not to tell the therapists what to do since they’re trained but, Christine was very polite and asked me at the beginning of the 60 minute session which areas I’d like her to focus on. She started off with cracking my back – which I was nervous about initially – and I was extremely surprised by how much cracked. I felt relief after that. Christine periodically asked me how I was feeling throughout the therapy which was nice because she made sure I wasn’t feeling too much pain. She recommended me to drink lots of water because my shoulders and neck were so tense. I appreciated the feedback and the effort she put into loosening up my knots without too much force.
I waited to write this review because I wanted to make sure the effects of the massage were positive. The day after the massage I was sore and it was slightly painful but that could’ve been because of how tense I was.
Prior to this massage, I couldn’t even turn my neck side to side because it was so painful. The day after the massage, I had more range of motion in my neck.
I would definitely come back. A pro tip is to take deep breaths during the massage, especially if you are tense. It’ll help with relaxing and easing the pain/tension.
Last – don’t forget to check in to utilize the discount! I completely forgot when I paid because I was coming out of that sleepy massage state.

First visit was great – I received the 60 minute massage combo – medium intensity. Annie was very professional and stretched me out completely. The staff is friendly and the spa is clean! I will be back!

My oh my… this has been one of the best massages I have ever had. If you are a light massage person, this place is not for you. I got a 2-Hour Combo Massage with Hot Stones and it was amazing!!! Lucky is my new favorite masseuse. She went super deep in my shoulders and really got my knots out. The Combo Massage combines Thai Yoga with Swedish and Deep Tissue techniques to provide an awesome massage experience really meant to get the kinks out of your body.
I took my boyfriend with me and we did the couples massage and he loved it too! They really crack and stretch all parts of your body.
I am recommending place to all my peeps. Thanks Thai Rose Massage Spa! 🙂

I went to the shop late 10 minutes and you guys cancelled my appointment. What a nice treat to new customers. You guys said you called me and left me voicemail but I showed you my phone with no missed call and no voicemail. I have been to a lot of massage place and never seen any business doing like this. I don’t know why you guys have 5 star rating.Sorry it is worth 1 star. Maybe you guys hired someone to rate for you guys. I will never be back again.

Another day in town means another session at Thai Rose. Yay. I love visiting Costa Mesa for this reason. Your girl lives 4 hours away and no other Thai massage spa have compared.
Bella did it again. Another relaxing 2-hour session with her. She used stronger pressure this time than last, and there were times when I thought I couldn’t handle it anymore, but then she moved on lol. But I know that all I had to do was communicate and she will tailor the pressure, no problem. I thought I was going to be so sore days after, but I wasn’t!
I’ve only met Bella twice now. Like mentioned previously, I am going to request for her when I make my appointments. However, I have also gone several times without requesting for a specific therapist and all of them have been wonderful. If Jennifer and Koby are still with the spa, I would recommend them, too (in addition to the other ladies I have also wrote about previously of course).
Now, let’s talk about the manager and owner Rose. She is the one who takes your appointment requests, greets you upon entrance, shows you to the treatment rooms, and collects payment. Most importantly, she is also the person who makes sure that you are satisfied with the service and listens to your suggestions.
I had one session when I asked for adjustments but the experience just didn’t go the way I had anticipated. I didn’t find out who the therapist was until after the session and I was surprised to learn that it had been someone who had worked on me in the past and who I was very impressed by. I am not naming names because I believed that experience to be an isolated one because that was not her standard. As always, Rose asked me how the session went and I told her that it wasn’t good. She invited me to message her privately, which I appreciated because it gave me time to re-examine the situation and to deliver my concerns in a coherent manner (not that I was heated or angry or angry at that moment). Rose really does care about the services she and therapists provide.
This spa has such a relaxing ambiance. It’s really quiet and the building temperature is always at a comfortable one. It’s warm during winter and it’s cool during summers. The beds can be heated, which I prefer year-round. There is privacy during the sessions because there are doors separating the rooms, and not just curtains. There are single treatment rooms, as well as two (from my recollection) couple treatment rooms. The building is small and cozy, so booking in advanced is recommended.
Making an appointment is very simple. You can email the business and Rose will typically respond pretty quickly, but telephonic communication is always best and more efficient.
Thai Rose is located in the corner of Orange and 18th/Rochester. It’s across from a violin shop and very close to 17th Street. It’s location makes it ideal to walk to if you live in the neighborhood (I always AirBnB it nearby so I can get my steps in). Parking is available on the streets (free but watch out for street sweeping days if there are any) and available within the lot.

Wow! My body was pretty beat up from weightlifting & work…but Bella did a great job of working on my muscles and stretching. She has very strong hands…all the way through. I will be back!

I love massages that “hurt so good” and Thai Rose definitely delivered. This was my first time here so I opted for a one hour Thai massage and it was amazing. I am currently 2/3 of the way through a half marathon training regiment, have a desk job and sit through L.A. traffic 5 days a week so there was plenty of knots for the masseuses to work out. I had a ton of muscle tightness (especially in my legs and shoulders) and this was the perfect fix – I didn’t even have to direct the masseuse to those problem areas as she was able to intuitively find them and work them out. I will definitely be back and probably will opt for 1.5 or even 2 hour sessions.

This was our first time with Thai massage and didn’t know what to expect. Everyone was very nice and courteous from entering the door to during the treatment. They asked for our problem areas and checked in time to time to make sure pressure is good!
Husband and I felt so much better even just halfway through. Felt good as new after rhe whole appointment . They were great at targeting the problem areas we told them about but they also fixed the areas that were contributing to those. We’ll be back 🙂

I tweaked my neck at work and was in so much pain and my normal place didn’t have any openings. I decided to call thai rose around 6:30 and they got me a 90min appointment at 7pm…I cant even begin to explain how talented and STRONG! my massage therapist, Bella, was. They stretch and work out every muscle in your body and I have never heard my back crack the way it did with them. I felt SO much better after and even more so the next morning. I’ve told all of my friends and family and definitely will be back!
