While vacationing in Greater Palm Springs, California. I must preface this review with we were the only two clients in the nail service and hair area of the Spa. It was basically a giant private treatment room! With relaxing music, soothing massage chairs, and a lovely scented breeze blowing in through the open windows. The most serene pedicure and manicure ever! Booked the nail promo, citrus infusion spa manicure and pedicure for 105 minutes for my mother and myself. Both technicians were highly skilled and friendly. I confidently recommend Kai B. And my mother gives Isis L. her recommendation. Also a shout-out to Michele in the spa store for her knowledge and helpfulness. And Dee Dee for the spa facilities tour as it was our first visit. I appreciate the old town La Quinta historic structures so it’s the right atmosphere and vibe for me.

This was my first time here getting a massage and let me start with the details. First you walk in and get greeted by staff and walk you over to get changed into a robe. Since I got the wine down I went outside and met with my handsome hubby to get a flask of wine. We picked out our wine chose and was massaged with a pairing oil. We got our couples massage and it was fantastic!!! Omg the best I’ve had thus far! Alia was my therapist and she listened to my concerns and requests! Thanks Aliah! After our wonderful massage we met outside to relax. The therapist came and greeted us once again with our full pour of wine. Afterward the receptionist called to have us picked up taken back to our room. It was a wonderful and relaxing experience!!! I highly recommend it

Please note: My rating has nothing to do with the service provider. My massage therapist was wonderful.
The level of service and attention to detail in the spa common area leaves a lot to be desired for a five star resort. My friend and I spent about five hours at the spa.
Spa observation:
*Some robes and towels had holes
*Used towels were piled on the steam room floor and bench two of the three same day visits
*Ran out of towels by the steam room two of the three same day visits
*Ran out of hot beverage cups for tea
*Trash basket was overflowing; no place to deposit trash
*Couple of bathroom stalls were out of toilet paper
*We sat outside for three hours and never saw a staff member (ie: couldn’t order a drink or lunch)
*Patio table was unavailable for three hours due to previous client’s lunch waiting to be cleared
The facility did not have some of the amenities one would expect in a five star spa/hotel. For example, the only hair care product was hair spray. No gel, mousse, or hair ties, there wasn’t a pool (only one small hot tub) and tdidn’t have spinners for wet bathing suits.
To add to the experience, we completed the feedback card and mentioned our disappointment to the front desk employee. She wasn’t interested in taking the feedback nor did she engage a manager before we left. Lastly, upon checkout, the experience was also mentioned to the staff member in the reception area. The employee said someone from the spa would certainly be contacting us – still waiting.
Note: this experience is being compared to the Four Seasons.
Update to post: a manager called a day later. Her day was done, she was gettIng into her car and finally decided to connect (while driving). Checking it off her list – can’t take notes. Very insulting.

Had my wedding at LQR, knew I’d need my hair done for the day of the event. Mark did a wonderful job. Treated me so well, used fancy products, and had all the bases covered; offered beverages, scale massage, I came early and had a steam and a shower… but best of all- hair was epic!

Men’s treatment four star at best. Have had better. For the price, this place needs updating. It’s gone downhill in service and atmosphere.
The attendant on the mens side has vanished. There are no cold rags outside the steam room or on the patio area. There seems to be a lack of motivation in keeping this place clean. The ‘mens lounge’ is horrible, no tea or coffee, no stir sticks nothing. The attendant vanishes and never returns.
As far as the restroom on the men’s side? If your employees are going hang out in the stalls to stink up the toilets, have the decency to spray some freshener afterward. Seriously, it feels as if this place is run on ghetto standards for some odd reason and we feel a little out of place expecting a decent day after purchasing the treatments.
Also too, there’s a feral cat roaming around your courtyard and hissing and hiding…it’s a bit weird. A worker walked by saw it and just laughed and kept going. Really? Also we were told we would get these amazing elixer teas upon check in…the girl looked at us like we had dropped in from outer space.
Obviously this company hires low standard employees. Shame on you. Waste of money…

My wife went to the spa and was appalled on many levels. It’s old dirty and dingy. The masseuse apparently was. It professional by offering different upgrades and offers. She just rubbed oil on my wife and barely massaged. And to top it all off it was over $250, where at other spas where you pay that much you get an actual professional that knows what they are doing. Not some part time employee doing the massage. Advice to management, modernize and renovate your spa. And get stricter hiring practices.

My massage therapist was skilled and provided and outstanding session. She deserves infinite stars!!
One expects to pay a price for the privilege of the experience at a place like this but the cost was beyond obscene. I could not help feeling much of the price of services rendered goes to the upkeep of this spa. The spa is tranquil, soothing, and comfortable but other amenities required effort for participation.
When I made my reservation, one massage therapist was highly recommended and set. It was only when I called back about another matter did I learn this person was given the day off. It is more than courtesy to call the clients when a change has been made. It turned out well but left me with an uncomfortable feeling.
Lastly, staff ought not be required to suggest a certain tip percentage. I was asked if I wanted to leave a 22% gratuity. Bush league.
Will I return? Cannot say. The massage treatment was stellar but the staff missteps and amenities inconveniences are tough to overlook.

The place is clean and the service personnel are friendly. I just had the express pedicure so I didn’t get to see the inside of the spa. The salon area was nice.
I just have one comment which is neither positive or negative – I asked for a second coat of top nail polish and she said “no”. That surprised me. For a $40 express pedicure – no massage, no callous filing – a second coat doesn’t really cost that much. In SF, second coat is basic, you don’t need to ask for it.

Had a great experience here escaping the barrage of young children at the pools. The checkin staff was friendly and attentive. For the best foot massage on earth (or any massage really) I highly recommend Fermin. I came two days in a row because he rocks!!
