The Penngrove Massage Center is very clean and the masseuses are some of the best I have had. I have been getting massage weekly for years and have a need for deep tissue sports massage and the girls were not only strong but were able to find each spot that needed attention and continue to work on it until it loosened up.
I would recommend this establishment to anyone. If you are tall like myself they also have a Futon as well. Music was perfect too. Treat yourself and you can not go wrong.

A few things that seemed off …
*I’ve probably had 40-50 massages in my life. I’ve never been charged as soon as I walk in. I walked in, and asked for the given massage, and the lady says “Okay $60 please” and sticks her hand out. Was very abrupt, and caught me off guard. I’ve always been charged at the end of the service…
*I’ve included some pics I took – the weird “Rolling Stones” tongue sticker was in random spots through the room … does NOT go with the decor, so what’s the deal with those…kind of makes me wonder…
*The products they use are not professional grade – all items that can be picked up at a local Walmart or Target. The lotion they used is by “Mainstays” which is a Wal-Mart Brand. For their “shower treatments” they use generic Dove Soap – and another Main Stays Wal-Mart Brand. Their scrub still had a “clearance” sticker on it as well. Skimping on quality products is a HUGE no no!
*I did not see ONE massage license in the facility. Legally speaking, they need to have their license at their primary work area, and there wasn’t one displayed anywhere….
I’m licensed in the beauty industry, and know the rules well pertaining to different areas and what’s expected. Not having a license displayed anywhere, leads me to believe they aren’t in fact licensed massage therapists, which is illegal.
The fact that they aren’t using professional grade products, and buying discounted items from Wal-Mart is another issue. Many of those products are filled with fillers and various ingredients that aren’t made for massage therapy. Anyone who has sensitive skin I highly encourage you to go elsewhere! The point of professional products is to be used inconjunction with the service…my guess is if they aren’t licensed, they don’t have access to these products, hence … Wal-Mart and Dove.
And those stickers in obscure areas…What and why are they even there …?!
My massage was good – not sure about her skill set and if she’s licensed or not though…
The owner responded that they have a business license…cool. That’s not what I was referring to…none of the massage therapists are licensed, and if they are, their own personal licenses are not placed anywhere.
Furthermore, the owner wrote me – asking me to delete my review and compensate me with a free massage. Poor business practice when they try and bribe you for a real review. Sorry, but you’ve gone from a 2 star…to a ONE star for unethical business practices

This place is the cleanest massage place I’ve ever been to. Nice and friendly staff and a great futon massage. Very relaxing. I highly recommend this place.
