1. Massage was excellent! Did the 1 hour oil/ hot stone. Relaxing & helped with my sore/ stiff muscles.
2. Employees were friendly.
Cons:
1. No privacy. Basically a big room with a bunch of tables that they can separate with curtains. People are walking back and forth the whole time.
2. If you end up getting the tables by the front door, prepare to hear A LOT of talking from the customers waiting outside. People don’t know how to whisper and keep the ambiance quiet and relaxing. We literally had to “shush” people because they were talking so loud.
3. The guy who did my massage was either the receptionist or owner so every so often, he said “I’m sorry” and left to talk to people who walked in. It was a bit annoying that my massage was cut every few minutes.
This place is pretty good except for the few annoyances but I mean, for the price the massage is worth it.

This place is good if you don’t mind hearing a bunch of background noise. Instead of a running fountain and relaxing music you can hear everyone talking and everyone else getting their massage done. I had really bad neck pain and that’s why I went in today. I recommend getting the 35 dollar one hour hot oil/stone massage. They massage from your head down to your feet in this massage. Today there were children there and could hear them in the background. The first thing they ask when you’re paying is if you’d like to leave a tip. When I said yes and the amount, the guy at the front said it was too little and I should double it. I honestly wanted to tell him to pay his employees better if he wanted them to get more money but I held my tongue and smiled instead. They also charge a dollar if you pay with card. The nerve.

I’ll preface this review by stating I’ve only received a professional massage once before (at some fancy hotel in Coronado), so I don’t have a ton of places to compare No.1 Foot Spa to. That said, $20 for a ONE hour massage??? You can barely get a pedicure for $20 (except I go to CT Nails on Prairie/182nd and they charge $11, but most other places charge nearly $20, so let’s just go with that rate.) There were a few moments that were a little odd, mostly, because I was being stripped with no context — but how else are they going to lather you up and get out your knots? Live a little, people – they’re just boobs.
I had Helen, she barely said a word to me (could be a language barrier), but she was great. She literally massages you from your head to your toes, and everything in between. I mean, she even massaged my earlobes at some point. There were no noise issues when I went (around 5:30pm on Thursday) and although there were a few comments made between staff, I didn’t mind. By the way, when you’re laying back down and she pulls on your ankles — she’s asking you to scoot down. I thought that she was stretching me out (which she does), but we both started cracking up when I let her pull on me several times and I didn’t respond appropriately. #noob
So the semi-naked parts that you should know about — they do a lot of the “shifting” of your clothes, which is weird as a first timer because you don’t know what to expect. There are times when she pulls down your top (while you’re sitting up and laying top down) so she can your shoulders/back and also your upper butt will be exposed. She will also spread your legs and stretch you out (a skirt is not recommended, I didn’t know I was coming today or else I would have planned better). Beneath the towel, she really worked on my glutes… I mean REALLY, this must have gone on for at least 5 minutes. For a place that advertises foot + body massages, she didn’t spend much time on my feet, nor was that portion of the massage noteworthy.
Ambiance-wise, it’s dark and they try to maintain a quiet, relaxing space, but you’re surrounded by other cots and they try to cover your eyes with a paper towel. (I must be a heavy breather cuz that damn Bounty kept flying off my face.) The manager gives off this weird, unfriendly vibe when you’re paying and the masseuse stands in front of you waiting for their tip. they’re complete dicks. I can’t speak to the owner’s attitude, but tipping $5+ is reasonable given that the owner probably takes most of the $20. Be sure to ask for a stamp card (it says buy 10 get 1 free, but the sign outside says buy 10, get 2 free) before you go, cuz they don’t really hand them out as a practice.

I’m a regular here. For the price, the massages are well worth it. So far, everyone that has massaged me has been very attentive to what I ask.
My only complaint would be about Side conversations or background convos. Not always an issue but has been a couple of times.
I’ve gone in late at night and they still accommodate me. Happy customer.

I called in around 9 o’clock before their 10 o’clock closing and they accommodated my walk in request. This place as nice and clean and professional staff. The owners are Chinese and the misuse are also Chinese and there’s a little bit of a English-speaking language issue. But I can live with what every day said and I was able to understand and they were they were able to understand me. I recommend this place they did a thorough job and my misuse. They have the common area for foot spa and a private room for a full body massage. The place is OK but a little bit noisy because of the nearby businesses around the area I’m not sure if there bars but I can hear them through the walls. The music stopped but halfway through my massage so it didn’t feel as relaxing as I wish it could been. I also felt a little bit warm so they might have turned on turned off the air condition right before they closed or 30 minutes before they close. Over all it is very affordable and what would you expect with a $35 went hour full body massage. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a cheap but good quality massage but do not expect for communication with the staff because day English is their 2nd language.

My thermometer for a good foot massage is whether I fall asleep without trying. It’s happened here before more than once. I wasn’t a fan of their body massage, although I know others have has better experiences.
It’s affordable and you don’t need an appointment if you don’t care who is assigned to you. They accept cc and don’t fuss when u tip via cc.
I will keep coming back.

I hurt my lower back during my workout and needed a massage. I came to No. 1 foot spa and got an excellent massage by Kevin. He spent a lot of time on my lower back since I told him I was hurting and he put enough pressure to help ease my pain. Kevin was very professional and made sure I was ok with the pressure during the massage. The price for full body with hot stone was cheap but the service and professionalism exceeded that amount. I’m definitely going back to see Kevin.

I know why some people aren’t happy. They didn’t get the right person to work on them. Which can really ruin the experience of this place. I would know first hand myself. I have gotten two bad person (a gentleman and girl name Lily) I do not recommend them at all. However, there are two female who I always recommend to friends and clients. I really appreciate them for the care and the work they do to making my time there pleasant.
Yes, there will be chit chat or whisper every now and then. What do u expect from a $20 massage place. You want total peace and quiet there’s a lot of Massage Envy and chain spa you can pay an arm and leg. I assure you,I been to them and it’s not worth my money. Maybe on special occasion, sure go enjoy the whole ambient of a spa. Not at a foot reflexology place. Be real.
If you really want a good person. Ask for Helen or Anna. Make sure you tip well it makes all the difference in your next visit.

My masseuse Linda was great. She really cares about her customers and asked three times if I was okay. Yes, they do take off your shirt but it wasn’t a big deal to me because the oil back rub was amazing. The only reason why I’m giving 4 stars is because the loud chit chat between the other masseuse in the back made it difficult for me to completely relax. However, I will definitely come back again! Also be aware that there is a minimum of $5 tip. I know it’s ridiculous to place a minimum on tips but these people work hard and they deserve it.

I loved the place, as the massage therapists were best in town! Unfortunately, after purchasing another package, I have found out that the place is closed, the phone doesn’t work, and at the door there is an information that it will be reopen in two weeks. Hope more precise info will be delivered.
