I’ve been to many different reflexology establishments over the last few years, and I’ve gotta say, this one is the best one.
My massage therapist’s name was Megan. She and her co-worker were very cheerful and friendly as soon as I walked through the door. In fact, they are the friendliest massage therapists I think I’ve ever met!
Megan did a wonderful job. She found the knots in my back and worked them out. She was great about asking me if the pressure was okay, which I totally appreciate because most massage therapists don’t ask you that. I swear that woman has magic hands!
I will definitely return to Joyful Massage. tjknv

My boyfriend and I just left this place . He loved his massage given to him by the man . Personally , mine sucked . She kept getting up and leaving the room , my boyfriend started his massage before me and mine ended before his. My boyfriend said he saw her keep checking her phone for the time. It literally felt like she was just punching me. I left in more pain then I walked in there with. Very unprofessional . I don’t recommend this place . If you DO end up going , my boyfriend said the guy is good . She’s lucky she got a tip.

It’s not a filthy place, but it’s the bare minimum like most of these cheap Chinese massage places.
Unfortunately this place isn’t cheap for a full body massage, however it’s not too expensive. There’s an extremely long annoying door bell that goes off every single time someone comes in and out. Fortunately I got a private room at the end of the other side so it wasn’t too bad to listen to, but if you are in the reflexology room it might be an issue for you.
My “therapist” lily..man. I hate to bash her but I literally don’t even think she’s a licensed therapist. She was veeeeery terrible. I literally think she was taught basic pressure points to apply on the body over a sheet and that’s it. She barely spoke English, when I used my phone to try to translate what I was saying 3 different times into traditional and non traditional Chinese she still confused or uninterested in what I had to say. So don’t come here if you really have body pain because they don’t give a shit in knowing what areas you really want focused on and will just give you their generic basic b pressure point compressions on top of the sheet. Which by the way, I paid extra for a full body..but majority of it was just compressions on top a sheet, soooo, what’s the point in paying for extra?
She broken English asked me if it was my first time about 25 min in and finally started to give me decent pressure compressions AFTER the fact that I told her yes it was my first time, but stopped doing a decent job after 8 min, flipped me over and passed me on to another therapist, Megan, who was good on the head massage. Unfortunately I only had about 15 min with her..Megan’s good but Lilly is not. Megan told me normally men are with women there but all of the men smoke there and never wash their hands or if they do they still smell like cigs terribly so I prefer to work with a female. She told me female therapists are gentle and I said no, there are female therapists that are strong, because I’m one of them. Don’t use the excuse of being a female-they can’t use even medium pressure, that’s some bs and I take offense to that.

Lady was rude. Right when I walked in, she just said busy, like wtf. You can set something up with me, let me know more, but she was so rude. Don’t go here, don’t support whatever they are doing. Man that was some sad service, I would give a negative stare if I could miotyiy

Not sure why this place has so many bad reviews about it…..just came from this place right now, my husband and I. We were a little reluctant to come here because of such negative reviews. However, I will honestly say that we will most definitely be coming back here from now on. It’s a hassle anyway driving to San Diego just to get a $20 massage.
They actually use their fingers and put pressure on the areas that they need to relax. I loved it, so did my husband. They don’t just slap oil on you and rub. There is actually a lot of finger pressure (which tells me they actually put quality into it).
We paid $20 for each of us and gave them a $10 tip for each. I totally agree that giving them a good tip is great because a massage, especially a quality massage is a very personal service and they did a fabulous job for the whole entire hour.
I’m so glad I went with my gut instinct to just try it our regardless of the bad things people wrote on here.
Totally loved

I decided to try out Joyful because of the great reviews but it wasn’t so Joyful for me.
I called at 9:45 to make an appointment and the lady told me that I can come right now. So I did and upon arrival, the lady directed me to a room. Before I did, I wanted to use the restroom. As I’m in the restroom, I hear her yelling obnoxiously at this guy for something. I walk outside the bathroom and I assume she was yelling at him because of a minor flood that seemed to be in the washer and dryer area. She’s still yelling at this guy as he is mopping the area and so I said that I’ll come back later. She said no, that’s ok.
Turns out that the guy she was yelling at was the guy going to massage me. Oh dear… That is when I should have left and maybe come back at another time.
I decided to go with my hour long massage. It was the most uncomfortable hour of my life. The water soak for my feet was extremely hot. I told him that it’s very hot and he said, it’ll be okay. So I’m laying there as he’s massaging my scalp at the same spot for ten minutes as I’m trying to soak my feet in this damn hot water.
I thought to myself, I have to leave now. But I wanted to give him a chance. As he’s continuing to massage me, I said the pressure is very strong, can you be more gentle. Long story short, I have some bruises from him and there was no technique whatsoever. I could have done it better myself.
I left him a %15 tip and he looked at me like I was stupid as I was leaving the place.
I knew better to leave the moment I entered but I didn’t.
It’s cheap. You get beat up. If you like that kind of stuff, Joyful is for you.

Luice was Incredible!
The best darn relaxation and decompress you could ask for. Great service, affordable and flexible hours. This is the most relaxed I have been in years. Luice was extremely nice, pays attention to detail and he addressed my needs with the exact pressure I needed. In my opinion everyone should try a Chinese foot massage at least once–It changed my life. My comfort of living has drastically improved with his expert technique. So for $25, I received one of the best (60 min. foot massages).. at a pretty affordable price anyone could appreciate. Get this experience for yourself. You will not be disappointed. Thanks again Luice… and I’ll see ya soon

Joyful Massage EXCELLENT!!!!
It was truly a Therapeutic Massage. They know how to take care of damage from stress and poor body care due to the American lifestyle . My back / sciatic nerve was killing me when I walked in to see SaSa and 60 minutes later I felt like a new person again.
I would definitely be back!!!

This place is kind of in a tight corner area that’s about to exit I-15 heading north. Parking space was not hard to find on a weekend.
The establishment seems to be in a mode of renovation, but clean.
The attendant was Chinese with limited English but was very cordial and she was wonderful. My female masseuse was on the other hand having a far more difficult time conveying her message to me. What apparently ensued was that as she ushered me in the massage cubicle, she started talking to me in bits and pieces of English and Chinese with her right hand cupped in front of me, and the only thing I understood was, “..to me… To me!”. I sooner found out that she was already asking for the payment and tip! We haven’t even started yet!?… This definitely makes a customer feel uncomfortable.
The massage was less satisfying than my expectations for a spa of this kind. She seemed to just slap her hands too softly here and there. When she started going slow and targeted my painful neck and shoulder area though she managed to soothe some of the knots there and I’m thankful to her for that.
Now come payment time… I paid cash… about $45 for a full body massage. So what’s likely a fair tip for that?… 15%?… let’s round it off to $7. I handed to her $15. She seemed to look unsure with the amount as if it wasn’t enough. Does she want a 50% tip markup for a lackluster massage service? Now this can not only make a customer feel uncomfortable, it can outright make him angry.
I surely hope they improve on their service as they have potential. Personally though, I have found counterpart massage spa services within vicinity that’s better than this.
