Personalized approach. Better to let them know about the pressure early on because it tends to be on the higher side.
Overall the place is nicely maintained and clean.
Staff are conscious about covid and take adequate care

With the COVID situation, let me say that I’m almost at the end of my patience waiting for them to re-open so I can be the first to get in line for a massage here.
Although it’s a tiny, hole-in-the-wall type of place, their massage skills are bigger and better than most places I have been to. Unlike many Asian places where random people are simply exported from Asia claiming to know massages but actually hurting one’s body in the long run, this place makes me feel confident that they are doing good things to my muscles and well-being.
Let me just end with my personal conclusion that this is one of the best places in the US where I’ve had massages.

Amazing place! Located on the top floor right above the State Farm offices. Little room but nicely decorated and very relaxing with running water and soothing music in the backyard. I had the 90min signature massage ($125) and it was great. I requested the eucalyptus scent as it was the most appealing to me – they also have lemongrass, lavender, and rose petal to choose from.
My therapist was Sandra and she was very friendly and skilled. Strong hands and kept checking if the pressure was good. There were parts that hurt a bit but I fought through because I knew my body would thank me later. I left feeling excited about my new experience (first time having a Thai massage) and relaxed. It is a bit pricey for me to do this on a regular basis but today was a “treat yoself” kinda day. Would recommend this place to anyone! Thank you Arisa

The massage booth doesn’t have a door and is just a curtain away from the reception. The massage it self was quite good. Amazing pressure.

Just W-O-W! I happened upon this place a bit by chance. My mom told me she was getting a massage today (she lives out of the area), and I thought, “what a great idea!” I had not received a massage in some time and after a simple search, I was excited to see that Sonia at Arisa Thai Massage had availability at the perfect time for me today. Plus it was Thai massage. From the moment I walked into the tiny studio, I felt at peace. I was instantly transported back to my time at Wat Po in Thailand. Sonia is petite but she uses her body weight phenomenally well. I think every single muscle group in my body from head to toe was tingling at the end of the session; so many toxins and so much tension was released during those 60 minutes. My body felt like Jello and yet invigorated by the end! I cannot rave enough about the experience. They just earned a new return customer!

I’m hesitant to say recommend this new place in case she gets swamped and it becomes hard to get in for an appt.
I had a great massage with Sara today….I was so happy to be surprised by her care and skill. The setting is clean, calming and just perfect to relax in. She definitely is a healer and is quite skilled.
She was so receptive to my needs – careful with the areas that bruise easily and firmer where I can handle it. I definitely felt so much better after I left.
I’ll be back for sure.

Sara is wonderful! The place is clean, relaxing and the traditional Thai massage was fantastic. I would def come back and try the other treatments!

Small place, upstairs from State Farm in the shopping center at the corner of El Camino and San Antonio where the Teaspoon is.
The Thai massage gets all the knots and I love the stretching. They will walk on your back, but always ask if the pressure is ok.
Owner and her helper are both very kind and good at what they do.

I tried out this new massage place and it was a very pleasant experience right from the start, when I scheduled my appointment. Their booking system will sync to you google calendar and send out one reminder to your email with all the necessary info (address, appt. time/ date etc).
Sara was very knowledgeable, she immediately was able to identify where I carry most of my stress and was able to get out all of my knots in my shoulders. They have a variety of oils to choose from, that smell wonderful; the massage rooms are private. They provide tea and cookies afterward, and Sara even took the time to give me advice to relieve some of the stress off my shoulders for the future. Overall it was a wonderful experience, I got the Arisa Signature Massage yesterday, that melted my stress away and I still feel great today.

Hurt so good! As I had told Sara, I’m definitely coming back here. She will officially be my go-to masseuse from now on. I don’t say that lightly. I’ve been to too many massages elsewhere that don’t understand my knots, except Sara. She knew exactly where I needed the most help. I came out absolutely in a bliss .

I have come with my wife and by myself and have always received exceptional massages by Sara and Sonia. Don’t be deceived by the name of the business – they offer world class Western style massages as well. We have traveled around the world and have found massage in the Bay Area to be of unusually high quality. Arisa is a model and standard in that regards – they are hospitable, attentive to requests, and understanding of our individual preferences.
For people that enjoy a balance of “therapy” and relaxation, I personally recommend their Swedish and Hot Stone massage. I need medium-strong pressure and these fit my needs perfectly.
My wife has mild disc bulging and swears by the deep tissue option for her back pain. We have had satisfactory experiences at a nearby competitor but find Arisa to be more effective, more consistent, – being smaller (and owner operated) – and way friendlier.
We have referred friends, coworkers, and neighbors who have all agreed that this place rocks.
Personal favorite: the hot stone massage.

I was in need of a massage and Arisa opened recently. It’s on the second floor of the plaza and could be a bit difficult to find.
The massage studio is modern and cozy and the owner Sara was nice and friendly. I opted for the 60-min Arisa signature massage, which combines Swedish and Thai massage. It was a good combination of stretching and deep tissue work. It was also my first experience of being step on as part of the Thai massage. I was a bit nervous, but Sara had great control of her weight and pressure.
I really enjoyed the Thai massage so I’ll be back for a 90-minute session next time.
