I was in dire need of a sugar service, and I was grateful that the friendly staff there was able to squeeze me in before the COV-19 shut down super last minute. Joanna was very patient & friendly, it was my first time getting an extended bikini sugar treatment. It was not painful at all compared to waxing (which I was getting frequently) & now I’m hooked. I do not think waxing will be my good to for my extended bikini. I am looking forward for them to reopen once the shelter in place is lifted.

I rate a place 5 stars, but Michaela truly deserves it! I’m picky about my lashes and worried about finding someone new. My two times with Michaela was phenomenal. She asked me tons of questions to understand what I wanted and also advised me about the health and care for my lashes.

This review is for Lash Enhancement (Lash Lift). This was my first experience of trying a lash lift. Joanna Faust was my lash stylist. She did a very great job at explaining things step by step and keeping me comfortable. I appreciate her breakdown of each product she was going to use, why and how it works. She also explained to me aftercare along with do’s and don’t. My lashes looked nice but unfortunately not what I was hoping for. I feel that lash enhancements are for those with ALREADY long and thick lashes to make it worth. My lashes looked like I just used an eyelash curler, but short and sparsed. My curled lashes only last me a full week even with good care and I developed a stye on the inside of my right lid. I will not be getting anymore lash enhancements, lesson learned.

A Lily of Gold Day Spa has been my go-to sugaring spot for a few years now. Not many places in the area offer a sugaring option, and this spa has the best prices I’ve seen so far. Joanna is really nice and she gets the job done pretty quickly which is good for me lol. Recently, I’ve started getting my eyelash extensions here and I love them! Kristin is amazing and she always does a great job on them. My lashes are full but they’re so light that I don’t even feel them. I’ve also noticed that they don’t fall out as quickly as sets I’ve had in the past from other lash techs. I definitely recommend them both if you’re looking for either sugaring or lash extensions!

Received a facial from Angela and massage from Avery. Both services were amazing! I’m feeling so refreshed and relaxed. Angela and Avery were very knowledgeable and friendly, I will definitely be back

I really wanted to give this place more stars. My fiancé got me a gift certificate for a massage and facial and I was very much looking forward to it.
From the get-go I didn’t feel very relaxed at this spa. The storefront of the spa is in a business district next to a Burger King and karate studio. There was no relaxing music playing and the lights weren’t dimmed in the waiting room. This may sound nitpicky, but these factors play a role in relaxation and mental preparedness for massage.
I was invited by the massage therapist into the massage room. While she was very friendly, the massage room itself was not. The lighting was too bright and there was something sterile and left to be desired about the aesthetics of the room. The massage started out fine, but I could literally hear an entire conversation taking place next door and it was completely distracting from my massage. I cannot think of anything I would rather hear less than two women gossiping and giggling while I’m trying to relax – listening to fighting chimpanzees would have been more soothing! I asked the massage therapist about it and she said she would go handle it, but never went to do anything about it.
I requested my massage at a “medium” level because I once chose deep tissue and it felt like the massage therapist was ripping my skin off. I noticed that medium was too light for me, so I told the massage therapist that she could go deeper. While she acknowledged my request, she didn’t follow it. It literally felt like I just got lotion spread onto my skin for an hour while listening to annoying women talk really loudly in the room next door (I actually started counting down the minutes until I could leave because it was so frustrating).
My massage therapist was really sweet, but she literally spent the entire hour of my facial lecturing me on the hazards of chemicals contained in over-the-counter beauty products, staying away from brand name makeup, wearing SPF lotion, using coconut oil – the list went on and on. While I know she meant well, I just wasn’t in the mood for it. I’m currently in medical school and all I get is lectures about medicine and health – I just wanted a couple of hours to be pampered and relax in some peace and quiet. I will likely not be returning here.
